PRO8L3M „Ex Umbra Ad Libertatem” LP

We have been handling communications for the duo PRO8L3M — one of the most prominent phenomena on the Polish music scene in recent years — since their very first album release. The same was true for their latest record, Ex Umbra Ad Libertatem.

From the shadows into freedom. PRO8L3M continues to surprise and — as always — refuses to compromise. Following the album that marked a decade on the scene, a new LP arrived: EX UMBRA AD LIBERTATEM. The duo's tenth release was announced with a 120-second sampler mix and an accompanying video documenting the creation of a wholecar on the New York subway — a motif familiar from the music videos for Hazard and Skrable.

Oskar and Steez appear in it, despite having accustomed their audience to their absence from their own music videos. The tone of the trailer foreshadows a return to rap roots on the upcoming record. A collection of new tracks, Oskar's hard-hitting verses, and Steez's eclectic, unconventional-sample-driven beats form the essence of a raw, classic approach — one where this time there is less abstraction and more real life. It is sensational and sharp: drama chases humour, and trips back to old neighbourhoods fuel fantasies of breaking free from the economic bubble-trap and living outside the system.

Our communication was focused on contemporary language, close coordination with social media and YouTube releases, and on highlighting the album's visual dimension — handled by Spanish street artist Cuero Negro. News of the new release spread widely, supported by media coverage, and the EUAL tour sold out.
