Warsaw Gallery Weekend
Communication around one of the most important events in the sphere of contemporary art.
The Warsaw Gallery Weekend is an annual review of new art and one of the most important events on the map of contemporary art. From 2019, we have been responsible for social media communication, creating campaigns and dealing with the PR of this event.
For years, WGW has been presenting the most interesting and up-to-date contemporary art. We watched over the communications of the 9th, 10th and 11th editions of the event. During the 11th edition, 33 premiere exhibitions of over 95 artists were presented in 31 galleries: a diverse, interesting and cross-sectional insight into Polish contemporary art. We support social media channels, deal with marketing activities, work on PR and run the WGW press office.
Goal:
The main purpose is to find a common communicative denominator in such a varied program. We aim to increase the visibility of an event that operates in a dispersion.
Social media service
We created a visual concept for WGW’s social media based on animations, which allows to tell a story about the event’s program in a consistent and accessible way.
Each edition of WGW allows to organically acquire 2,000 new followers interested in art. A key reporting channel is the Instagram feed and Instagram stories. Every year, on the inauguration day of the WGW, reports from the gallery start appearing in the morning, systematically presenting the entire event throughout its course.
We designed the WGW Instagram grid in a precise and thoughtful way, so that it is an attractive and aesthetic feed encouraging the audience to follow. Before, and during the event, we communicate the program of each gallery, report on exhibitions from all places on a regular basis and broadcast selected accompanying events on Insta Stories. Our team is everywhere and shows everything.
PR service
Every year, we manage to get media from various thematic groups interested in the subject of WGW – from the natural group of artistic and cultural media, through fashion and lifestyle media, to business and opinion media.
